History
This DB7 Zagato Coupe was the first of ninety-nine examples constructed. The original owner was enjoying a dinner with chairman of Aston Martin at the time, Dr Ulrich Bez, when he learned of a proposed new Aston Martin Zagato model. He immediately agreed to purchase the first car without even seeing the design sketches during the dinner
Following the food he was shown design sketches at the bar and a contract was drawn up on a napkin there and then, later framed and hung on the wall of Dr Bez office to celebrate the first order of the new DB7 Zagato model!
This car was delivered in Zagato Nero coachwork with Claret leather hide with left hand drive steering, manual transmission, brushed aluminium trim, upgraded sat nav and stereo
Supplied on 11th December 2003 to the first owner by Garage Keller, Geneva Switzerland, the Zagato was serviced by them twice and later in 2012 serviced by Heritage specialists Emil Frey (Switzerland) with mileage at 16,208kms
Later serviced by Aston Martin St Gallen, Niederwil Switzerland, at 17,379 kms and 17,834 kms. The current mileage reads 18,200kms and the car will be given a fresh service prior to sale by Aston Martin specialists in the UK
Offered with original owners handbook numbered ‘001 of 099’ with original service history insert, original Zagato book containing original factory photos of this car and colour/hide samples, both sets of keys, original Aston Martin leather jacket, original warranty book and Aston Martin umbrella
