1958 Mercedes Benz 300SL Roadster

Constructed on 12th February 1958 and finished in White DB050 Coachwork with Red leather and Black hood, fitted with Becker Mexico radio and built for export to the USA

Supplied to the first owner in the United States of America, Studebaker-Penske of South Sand USA

Maintained regularly during the fifty eight years the car resided in the USA, this example has never been fully restored (although we understand it was re-painted many years ago) but has clearly been looked after with the care and attention such a car deserves

Repatriated to Europe in 2016 at which time EU import duties were paid

This highly original 300SL retains its original engine, original chassis/body and engine plates and is a correct matching numbers example, usable as-is, or alternatively a great opportunity for the next custodian to complete a ‘100 Point’ Concours restoration to their individual specifications
