Originally finished in Silver Birch coachwork with Dark Blue leather and Dark Blue hood

Delivered on 15 April 1965 and sold new to Aaronson Bros Ltd of Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire

The second owner was Charles Bulmer, of Olney who acquired it in May 1984, selling the third owner on August 1987 who kept the car until May 2007 when it joined a prominent Middle Eastern collection

The DB5C is featured within the book ‘Aston Martin’ by Jonathan Wood, Crowood Publications, 1992

Ian Mason maintained throughout 1980s onwards, repainted back to bare metal in Pacific Blue in 2000,  At the same time all fittings, seals and rubbers were renewed; the chassis checked, lubricated and under-sealed; a new hood, lining and padding installed; and the interior fully re-carpeted

Mechanical refurbishment carried out at the same time included fitting a reconditioned prop shaft and overhauling the brakes, gearbox and engine, the latter being converted to ‘unleaded’ compatibility and receiving a new set of timing chains. The suspension too was overhauled and improved, receiving up-rated road springs, new front shock absorbers and modified front anti-roll bar (handling kit). Power steering fitted
