1970 Aston Martin DB6 Mk2

This splendid DB6 Mk2 Coupe was one of 248 cars produced by Aton Martin between 1970-71 and one of 202 carburetted models. First registered on 23^rd October 1970, our car was born with Dubonnet Rosso coachwork and ‘Natural’ VM 846 hide

According to the buff log book held on file, the first recorded owner was ‘A & B Cars (Distibutors) Ltd’ of Lancashire who were the supplying dealer. By 1^st December they has sold the new DB6 to ‘Telegraph Properties Ltd’ of Union Street, Liverpool, where it remained for just under a year until it was acquired in early October 1971 by ‘Range Valley Engineering Ltd’ of Oldham

The next listed owner on the log book shows one Mr David Croft of Yorkshire, who retained the car until 16^th October 1983 before it was sold to Mr R.Byford. Invoices held on file detail maintenance work carried out during Mr Croft’s ownership from 1979-83

Mr Croft retained the DB6 for the following fourteen years before it was sold to Mr Theo Palmen on the 25^th July 1997. Maintained exclusively by marque exponents R.S.Williams throughout Mr Palmen’s ownership and to the present day

The engine was fully rebuilt by RSW in 2013 to 4.2L and has covered less than six thousand miles since the rebuild. During the rebuild the DB6 was upgraded with manual transmission by RSW utilising an original DB6 Mk2 ZF 5 speed gearbox. Further work included sections of chassis renovation (all invoices and dyno sheet on file)

Supplied by RSW to the vendor in March 2016 to join his stable of classic Aston Martin’s, the sole reason the car is offered for sale is to make space for the vendor’s recently acquired 1989 Vantage X Pack Coupe, as supplied by us

Offered with comprehensive history file containing MoT certificates dating back forty years which substantiate the current mileage of 55,430 miles, copy of the original build sheet, all RSW invoices going back over twenty years, DB6 Mk2 handbook and the original buff log book.
