1979 Aston Martin V8 Volante – RSW 7 Litre

Supplied new by H.W.Motors on 11th June 1979, originally finished in Tourmaline Blue coachwork with Fawn hides, automatic transmission and ‘S’ series engine

Collected by its first owner A.S.Joliffe of Joliffe Cork and Co, Elvian House, 18/20 St Andrew St, London EC4 on 1st August 1979

Acquired by second owner Mr Tim Davis in Spring 1984 with mileage at 40,000. The car was purchased for him by his then employer Young and Rubicam Ltd as part of a renumeration package for his role as Chief Executive and he took private ownership of the car in 1991 when he sold his stake in the business

Purchased in 2014 by the previous owner who commissioned marque exponents R.S.Williams to complete a no expense spared ‘concours level’ restoration at a cost in excess of GBP 225K, resulting in the nearest one can get to a ‘new’ V8 Volante

Finished in attractive Aston Martin Midnight Blue metallic coachwork and Bentley Magnolia hides piped blue. Complete engine rebuild to full 7.0L RSW specification producing in excess of 500bhp/500 lb/ft torque with RSW big bore sports exhaust, upgraded four speed auto box, upgraded air conditioning, DAB radio, without question of the very finest V8 Volantes extant today
