Delivered new on 30^th October 1997 by Ivor Holmes Ltd of Luton and registered R443 ATM, the original service book confirms the first service was completed by the supplying dealer then a host of main agents including Barons of Farnborough, Wood in Hampshire, Sytner Warwick, Damon Hill BMW, William Jacks of Cobham, Vines of Guildford from new to 2009 with mileage then reading 90,630 miles

The comprehensive history file that accompanies the original book pack/service book documents regular maintenance and sundry parts invoices between 2010-2019 whilst owned by Mr Maggs of Buckinghamshire. In September 2017 the car benefitted from extensive mechanical and suspension work by marque specialists Phoenix Motorsport of Surrey at 130,348 miles

Works undertaken included new cam cover bolt seals, cam cover gasket sets, lower sump pan gasket, modified sump pan bolts and engine mounts plus more. Extensive work carried out on the suspension that is often overlooked on E31 included trailing arms with urethane front bushes, rear upper suspension ball joints, front upper thrust arms including urethane bushes, front lower suspension control arms, steering arms, urethane rear bump stop kits and rear top mounts.

New dampers and springs were fitted with performance brake discs, pads and braided brake hose kit. Further works completed include a new radiator in January 2019 at 131,301 miles until the previous owner acquired the car on 24^th May 2024 with mileage then at 133,000

The car was inspected by BMR performance in June 2024 and confirmed to have good structural integrity with a number of standard service items flagged. The car has benefitted from further works by the engineer owner that included new idler arm bushes, brake pads, stainless Longlife exhaust system that sounds fantastic, new dampers and springs, track rod assembly replacement, new alternator, front brake lines and more
