History
Constructed by the works on 6th July 1994 and originally finished in Snowden White coachwork with Fawn hides, Beige carpets and six speed manual transmission
Supplied new via main agents Aston Martin Sales of Mayfair on 5th September 1994 to first owner Adam Clayton, bass guitarist of rock band ‘U2’, who retained the Vantage for seven years until November 2001, at which time the mileage read 4,359 miles
The second owner is noted as a John Keevil of Tower Leasing who enjoyed the car up to April 2004 when it was sold to the third owner Mr Stephen Simpson. It should be noted that a replacement speedo was fitted by HWM on 26th March 2002 (mileage at 6201 miles)
During Mr Simpsons custodianship the Aston was maintained by Works Service who were commissioned by him in March 2005 to remove the sunroof and replace the roof section (documented on file) fit traction control and completely re-paint the car in the splendid shade of Buckinghamshire Green it sports today
Mr Simpson used the Vantage regularly and clocked around 10,000 miles during his ownership from 2002-2015. During that time he entrusted Grange Aston Martin of Exeter to maintain the car and later Ashburton Motor Works (invoices on file)
Acquired by the fourth owner Mr Michael Erwich on 8th December 2015 via Spellbound cars, he kept the car for a short period until 12th August 2016 before it was sold to Mr Owen Lavington. Invoices at that time show under bonnet and engine bay cosmetic enhancements by Wren Classics and full chassis wax
The Vantage changed hands again in September 2017 to its fifth owner, a private collector who used the car sparingly due to overseas work commitments. In December 2020 the car was given to marque exponents R.S.Williams who completed a substantial re-commissioning and service programme which involved removal of the superchargers, replacing vacuum lines to fuel pressure regulators, supercharger bypass valves etc and generally going through the car from top to bottom to ensure it is fully functional and working exactly as it should
Offered today in exceptional condition in every respect, this well documented V550 retains its original owners handbook and service booklet which is accompanied by a large folder of supporting service and maintenance invoices. Fully recommissioned by RSW and ready to be enjoyed by its next fortunate owner
